Bodog 20/40 LHE (3-handed)

Cobalt is BB w/ tc.gif td.gif. I'm generally loose-passive pre-flop and somewhat LAG post. Other two are rather LAG.

Pre-flop:
Button raises, SB 3-bets, Cobalt caps, Button calls, SB calls

Flop (12 SB): jh.gif 2h.gif 2c.gif (3 players)
SB checks, Cobalt bets, Button calls, SB calls

Turn (7.5 BB): th.gif (3 players)
SB checks, Cobalt bets, 1 fold, SB raises, Cobalt 3-bets, SB caps, Cobalt calls

River (15.5 BB): ad.gif (2 players)
SB bets, Cobalt raises, SB 3-bets, Cobalt caps?

I think we beat exactly AhKh, AhQh, and KhQh. I guess he'd reraise other heart combos as well, being 3-handed?

There isn't much more we beat here. SB rarely has a 2, right? I'm not completely sure of 3-handed dynamics, but there aren't a ton of hands reraising a deuce.

JJ is likely, of course, and AA is a possibility.

I'm fine with the turn, and I guess we need to raise the river, I think a cap might be a bit of a spew?

We just have the board so crushed that anything he's putting in a ton of action with is going to be very very strong.

Im usually pretty tight on the river but I think 3 handed this is a cap on the river. Most likely I think he has the flush or a 2, possibly A2

What was the result of the hand? I think you played it correctly. I do not know of anything different you could have done and even so it seems like he would have called anyway.

If this were full ring or something it might be a call, but I think that since we're three handed we should cap.

Yeah...I mean, everything else seemed relatively standard aside from that.

I capped and he called. He had JJ. =/

is the sb's smooth call on the flop followed by the cap on the turn does he ever the flush there?

He could have the A-high or K-high flush a decent portion of the time, yeah.

doesn't matter.

at first i thought it was a cap, but the more i think about it the more it's a call. either way the expectation between the two plays is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO minimal. there's much more important poker related things i could have wasted the last 20 minutes on. like spots that actually come up.

but it's really sick how it's like JJ or 22 100% of the time.

It comes up. The same thing happened to me yesterday. I lost with set under set on a paired board with 3 suited cards. I capped the river too.
