I can vouch for this.
The lower stakes games are INSANELY exploitable.
I was playing last night against a guy who I am 100% certain hadn't ever played a hand of stud poker in his life.
He called every single raise- he called me down one time when I bet with open aces- and couldn't beat my board Repeat: I actually scooped with an open pair and got called down on 7th even though the guy couldn't beat what I had showing. It was like nothing I've ever seen.
Don't get too cocky, there are some excellent players on there, but if you lurk a bit and watch the games, you can find some real fish and bad aggrodonks on Stars Stud 8.
Whenever I take a big hit on the day or when variance is bending me over for the month, I make sure to get in some time in the lower Stud 8 and Razz levels to help offset my losses, since those games are the closest thing to a lock that I've seen since Party quit the US market.
I made open trips 2's on 5th street in stud 8. I bet each street afterwards, and got c/c'ed to the end by a pair of queens. WTF?
