Hi Omaha experts
I have a question which was lately argued upon in a poker night:
if 2 players hold flush hand, how do ou determine their hands' strength?
Well, I guess the answer is easy - by the high card.
So for example if one user had a flush in which he hold the Ace, he would be the winner.
Now what would be the result if the Ace of the flush is held by the pot (meaning it is part of the flush but not held by the players rather part of the 5 revealed cards)
So according to my math both players with the flush have "flush, Ace high" hence split the pot
Or....
Do you now determine the flush by the 2nd high card until you complete the 5 cards (in other words by the strength of the cards which the players hold in their hands)?
Can anyone help? (reference to the rules in that particular example would be highly appreciated)
Thanks

That one. If AKQ are on the board, the guy with J2 beats the guy with T9

An AK432 flush beats a AQJT9 flush, a A9876 beats a A8765 flush.

So if the board reads AdKdQd, the player holding Jd2d beats the player holding Td9d. If the board reads AdKdQdJdTd, the player holding 9d2d beats 8d3d....etc.

I don't know where to link to but I assure you this is accurate.

Edit- Didn't see bdc's post funny we used the same example.
