At first I was just going to call third, but then I thought "If I'm going to play this, I should take the lead and raise". Good?

After that I think it's good - just keep the pressure on.

Looks pretty standard to me. At best, he's drawing to a j low hand, your line is you are drawing to a 7 low. I keep the pressure on here.

the important thing here is to explain your thought process on every street, however, as being more aggro is good, but you need to understand HOW and WHY it works and when you need to give up. care to indulge?

Sure!

3rd is as I already said. I've got a great doorcard against his weak one. Just calling tells him I'm weak, maybe even weaker than his 8 so I need to raise. Easy with the T buried.

4th is an easy CB against his brick

5th - I actually hesitated for half a second. My JT9 is pretty ugly, and although he's only got a Q-low, he's drawing to a J8. I certainly don't think he's paired up, but if he was making a play with poor cards in the hole then I need to bet anyways. Besides, there a lots of live cards out there to improve me to a T low.

6th - he pairs, I improve and hand over.

good, i agree smile.gif. something else worth mentioning is that BECAUSE you 3bet on 3rd, he has to assume the 9 on 4th didn't pair you and is less likely to call you down, whereas if you just flat an a9/3 or whatever on 3rd, you're giving him more info as to which cards are likely to pair you or not. part of the value of being more aggressive is making yourself harder to read on later streets, part is inflating pots to make your nitty villains fold improperly on later streets because hands seem "standard" when the pots are so big that they're not, and part is simply winning pots that your hand alone doesn't warrant. all three of them come into play here, i think. nh again.
