I like it.

Button's stats would help, but letting him hang himself isn't a bad idea if you think he's tricky. Another option would be the weak lead to rep ATxx or KQJ and induce a raise.



Incidentally, I think preflop is close between raise and limp.

Button stats and history would def help me. I just don't like giving up free cards for KQJx to hit or him checking behind us after picking up another draw on the turn.

Button's pretty unknown. I had less than 25 hands on him. This is air way more often than it's any kind of draw on the turn though. Also, I think KQJ's going to fire a ton with the betting lead on an ace-high board.

This just happened to me and I figured I would try and take this line. Unfortunately it got checked through on the turn.

^^^That's why we fold small pairs preflop. Especially OOP.

Once you get there, you might as well just C/C the river. He's going to have nothing or a better boat the vast majority of the time, so you might as well give him another chance to bluff while keeping the pot small when you're behind. This line's fine on the flop/turn as the drier the board, the more it plays like NLHE here pot control becomes more important than aggression.

Button would be all in or very very close to it if he calls iggy.

Well, OK I guess pot control wasn't specifically what I was talking about. Just that it's OK to take a more passive line and try to catch bluffs from your opponents in that situation.
