Hero bets $3, BB raises to $6, Hero...

BB is fairly LAG, but no stats.

You have two choices: Flat call or repot.

(BTW I am not at the table, this was just observed)

repot, if he has A6 we have a ton of outs! if he has a set, he will probably shove and we can fold.

I don't like a call, but I like a repot even worse. We are OOP so if he just flats the repot on the flop and we miss the turn we are put in a very bad spot.

I thought the flop lead was bad. I think it should be a repot.

In a SB v BB hand, I think this is an easy repot. If he has A6xx we have 13 immediate outs to improve. Allowing for some being either dead or duplicated we can at least say we have 10 outs.

He can minraise such a wide range there, and our bet/3bet line is extremely strong. We are only in trouble against 55xx and 66xx, which makes up a small % of his range. Those are the only hands he can reraise with anyway, and even that's somewhat unlikely IMO. If he flat calls, we can reevaluate the turn.

You can't be the "hero" here. (or your flop was a misclick) I don't think I've ever seen you bet ½ pot on anything. I think repot/fold to a re-re-pot is the line here.

It said he's not the hero in the OP FWIW.

Also, what about some kind of wrap here. Isn't he gonna repop us with that as well? I mean 3478 would pretty much have us in a very sad place.

I need to DL pokerstove and whatever program you're using here (if it's not pokerstove).

Also, yeah, so what I was getting at is if he has something that he views as a decent wrap, he's gonna push that back as well and if he reraises us after we repot it, then we're folding. I guess the assumption is that he has to think we have a set after we repot it so any action after he does that means he's got a set himself of a ton of outs and we're just letting him have it I guess.

For those two I was using twodimes.net which is just a basic punch in the hands calc.

For more expansive, pokerstove type range analysis use propokertools.com

After we bet and 3-bet this flop he's unlikely to expect much fold equity if any, so he's either calling and giving us a shot to outdraw A6/55/66/789x/5678/etc. or he's shoving with a range that has us crushed. I don't think anyone ever shoves with A6 after we repot here (or if they do, you should buddy list them and become rich).

Without the gutshot I'm not repotting (just to clarify). AKQJ (or similar) would be a call and reevaluate turn.

FWIW, I would play a weak AA the same exact way from the BB in this situation. Well, maybe raise a bit more on the flop. Granted that would obv be too small a percentage to give it any credence.
