DWMREP
I'm new to PLO, been having a good time playing and think it's making me a better all around player. This is a hand on FTP 6max .50 BB and I'm looking for thoughts on all streets, mainly the flop but preflop is good too.

JTrogers and I were jawing for a little while, and during that period he sucked out on me calling a pot bet on the flop with middle pair, no draw and hit running trips for a boat, so I don't think he is great.

If he's as bad as you say, I think you can find a better spot to play for stacks than one where you have the low end wrap draw and an underpair.

I think you can find a better spot

Nothing tilts me more when I'm reading strategy advice than the above 8 words. You realize that us taking this spot doesn't preclude us from finding another better spot later on right? It actually helps us, as we my get a loose image or our opponent may go on tilt, causing future spots to be even easier to find. It's either a +EV spot or a -EV spot. End of story.

In this case, if we're 100%, 100% sure he has aces, then we've got 10 outs twice and are about 40% to win the hand. You then lose about $2 on average by pushing. However, you stated that he's tilting and targeting you so he's nowhere near 100% to have aces. He could show up with ATTx or 7654 or JT98 or TT72 or a bunch of other hands that we are ahead of. If we're ahead 5-10% of the time and have 10 outs twice on average when behind (the times we have 12 outs will make up for the times when he has a set and we're in worse shape), then this becomes very +EV. You should get it in and gamble here.

Remember, throwing away $3 of equity in a big pot is much more costly than just about any bad preflop call that you might label an opponent a "fish" for.
