new to the game splashing, this is my second session. anyway, villain sees almost every flop, does his fair share of raising pre, but can slow down and doesn't go too crazy, rather passive postflop. edit: it became apparent that villain is a station.

Bet more on turn.

If you plan to call a decent bet on river , then bet it yourself.

I d bet around 7$ or 8$ on river. If you check he checks behind with AQ but if you make a small size bet he can pay you off. We are bet/folding river.

Repot button raise on flop. This isn't a lock hand. You are up against a lot of outs. Repot flop and hope to lay down one of the Queens so you face 6-9 outs instead of 15-18.

On the flop you should check/repot. You have a very vulnerable hand, especially out of position. You don't want to get tricky, you want to make people pay the maximum to outdraw you. You could be facing 18 outs to beat you.

On the turn I would like to see a bigger bet, but I like keeping it less than pot. The 9 is a card that can easily hit your opponents hands, but you want to make UTG pay if he doesn't have a boat yet. I think I'd make it $6.

I would like to see a small value bet on the river, even if it's just $5 or something similar.

I started typing before I saw your response. My internet died for a few minutes as I typed it so I had to wait for it to be posted.

They are similar, I'll give you that.

You didn't have to quote it twice.

No wait...oh 2nd post is Simo's.

If you are deep consider check calling almost any river as you dont want to get the pot huge and lose a ton if he got there. On flop and turn get as much as you can in usually if its multi way you are an underdog to lose to a bigger fullhouse if both queens are out so I would try and keep the pot small in that case (although not in this hand)

Bet/fold river is better than c/c IMO.

I agree.

AQ can call a decent sized bet but it doesn't usually value bet when checked to.
